2025 State Competition Key Dates

Here is a convenient list of all key dates for the TX State Competition.

Notice the color coding:
Blue for team deadlines
Tan for team pre-orders
Purple for judges
Green for Events

Please notice corrections for competition fee and scheduling requests due dates.

Judge registration deadline for judges from Houston and North TX has been extended to March 4th.

February	15th		Deadline	Submission of Clarification Requests. Teams should continue to check clarifications that could be posted later by International Problem Captains, even after Regional Competitions.
February	22nd	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Event	North TX Regional Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State competition.
February	22nd	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Event	HARO Regional Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State competition.
February	23^rd		Open	Pre-orders open for State Finalist shirts
March	1^st	8:00 am - 5:00 pm	Event	Central TX Regional Competition, followed by Awards. Advancing teams participate in the State competition.
March	1^st		Deadline	North TX and HARO advancing teams registration for the TX competition
March	9^th	9 pm	Deadline	Pre-sales close for State Finalist shirts
March	4^th		Deadline	All judges representing advancing teams from North TX must register for State (deadline extended)
March	4^th		Deadline	All judges from HARO regional competition advance their registration for State, whether their team advances or not. (deadline extended)
March	6^th		Deadline	If paying Competition Fee by P.O., email copy of approved P.O. to info@txodyssey.org by this date.
March	8th		Deadline	Central TX advancing teams registration for the TX competition
March	8^th		Deadline	All judges representing advancing teams from Central TX regional competitions must register for State
March	8^th		Deadline	Judges who need any assistance with hotel reservation or transportation. Must contact the Judge Coordinator. Email statejudge@txodyssey.org
March	10^th		Deadline	Competition Fee payment for State competition (corrected date)
March	13^th		Deadline	Submit any special scheduling requests in your team registration (schedule box), based on travel arrangements or other qualified requests. (corrected date)
March	10^th to 26^th		Deadline	Book rooms using the group discount rate. Check our hotels webpage for exact cut-off date by hotel.
March	18^th	7:30 pm	Event	Coaches Walk-through of the competition. Virtual session, no rsvp needed. Join from computer or tablet: https://join.freeconferencecall.com/TXOM
March	20^th		Deadline	One untrained volunteer picks their own job. After this date, a job will be assigned to your team.
March	20^th		Deadline	Untrained volunteers select their own job by this date. After this date, they get assigned remaining jobs
March	20^th		Deadline	Judges submit travel reimbursement request in order to get paid at competition. If they submit later (by Apr 30^th), they will get reimbursed by mail.
March	28^th	6:30 pm to 8:30 pm	Event	Team Mixer. All teams are invited to attend this social event at Texas Woman s University, Denton, sponsored by TX Odyssey. (Corrected time)
March	29^th	8 am to 5 pm	Event	TX State Competition at San Jacinto College, South Campus, 13735 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089
March	29^th	6 pm to 7:30 pm	Event	Awards Ceremony at San Jacinto College, South Campus, followed by short briefing on World Finals
March	30^th	10 am to 11:30 am	Event	Association Workshop. Our Spring Workshop is open to the entire TX OM Community. Agenda and location to follow.
April	2^nd	7:30 pm to 9 pm	Event	World Finals Q&A session online. For all team coaches and parents travelling to World Finals, no rsvp needed. Join from computer or tablet: https://join.freeconferencecall.com/TXOM
May	21-24	3 days	Event	World Finals Competition at Michigan State University, E. Lansing, MI
