Register your team!

Updated 9/29/24

All teams must be current with their membership (new or renewed since the summer) in order to participate in Odyssey of the Mind.

NEW this year: They must register their team with the Regional Director.

Due to delays in the OdysseyHQ database upgrade, TX is deploying its own team registration in order to track and support all our TX teams. This will also help coaches get access to a temporary Member’s area and download the full term problems.

This step is not limited to competitive teams, and will also be used when it is time to enter for competition. ALL teams must register by the time they start with the long-term.

Teams can start meeting and doing OM exercices any time, even before the coach attends Coach Training. They can work on spontaneous and skills building in the first few meetings.

Teams must register their roster as soon as they start discussing their long-term solution.

Step 1: Gather All Team Information

  • Membership/School Name

  • Contact ID of your OM School Coordinator (Active Memberships only)

  • Coaches' Names

  • Coaches Email Address, cellphone number

  • Team Members' Names

  • Team Members' school and grade

Don’t know your Contact ID? School Coordinators or the person who purchased/renewed the membership can go to the OdysseyHQ website, under Teams, Competition Home and login. After a moment, the page will display their profile, including the 8-digit Contact ID, to be used in all teams covered under this membership. Some schools have multiple memberships.

Step 2: Register Online

Teams that start with less than 7 members can register additional members any time using the “Edit the response” link at the bottom of your confirmation email. Teams can never go over 7 members over the course of the entire academic year.

Team Registration is free. We will provide further information for teams who wish to register for tournament, by early December. We are working with OdysseyHQ to coordinate the new process.

About automated email confirmations and newsletters:

If your email provider has an aggressive anti-spam policy, you may have to whitelist the domain @txodyssey.org to receive communications from all our departments. How? Open your email Inbox on your computer, tablet or smartphone app. Locate the Settings, it is often displayed as a gear icon (steps vary depending on the app you use). Look for something named “Filter” or “Allow” or Block”.

Some apps will give you the option to define a list of emails to ALLOW and then you specify which. Others will give you the option to create a filter first and then specify what to do with them (like “Never Send it to Spam”). In the FROM email: type @txodyssey.org without a specific mailbox name.

As a policy, TX Odyssey does not share email addresses outside of our organization.
