Suggested "Lesson Plans” For the First 5 Odyssey Meetings

Meeting #2

Teaching the team the Odyssey philosophy and some of the basic skills used in Odyssey:

• A simple hands-on spontaneous problem with spaghetti and marshmallows + A simple verbal spontaneous problem. Make it fun.

• Warm-up Exercise: The Human Knot. Other team building exercises.

• Discuss with team members what activities each one likes most.

• Repeat Odyssey Academy class #2 at a slower pace and discuss with team.

• The Difference Between "Winning Prizes" and "Succeeding" (Being Winners).

• "Rules of Engagement" for Odyssey of the Mind®.

• If We Can Dream It, We Can Do It.

• Optional: Review of Problem Synopsis.
